WTP Facility Investment Charge: Effective 7/1/08
A Facility Investment Charge of $0.23/per thousand gallons usage shall be applied to recover the debt service expense associated with the cost of increasing capacity of the Water Treatment Plant. This charge is determined by dividing the projected annual debt service by the actual sales gallons for the previous fiscal year.
Meter Tap Fees: Effective 7/1/04
Where water service is available the following tap fees shall apply. Those fees are the same whether inside the city limits or outside city limits.

Larger or special requirements Water Taps shall be charged at actual cost, but in no case less than the current rates. Any special charges for boring will be added to the fees stated above.
Sprinkler Tap Fees: Effective 7/1/98
Where fire protection service is available the following tap fees shall apply. These Fees are the same whether inside the city limits or outside the city limits. Any special charges for boring will be added to the fees stated above.

Sewer Fees: Effective 07/01/11
Inside City $6.60 per thousand gallons of water used $12.42 minimum bill per month
Outside City $13.20 per thousand gallons of water used $37.26 minimum bill per month
If the Morristown Utilities Commission discontinues water service for non-payment of a billing or any other reason, and the water is turned on without authority of MUC, the utilities shall have the right to discontinue service, remove or lock out the meter, and charge for costs incurred in discontinuing service, plus the cost of a replacement meter, if required.
Upon completion of installation of a water meter for service, the costumer is allowed 15 days in which to prepare their premises for water service. If after the 15 days, a customer has not completed their plumbing, billing will begin with the next billing cycle based on a minimum bill calculation. Rates are subject to the Rules and Regulations of The Morristown Utilities Commission.
