The Enhanced Growth Credit Program is one more manifestation of TVA’s commitment to economic well-being and quality
of life in the Tennessee Valley.  In this case, TVA is taking advantage of the fact that there will be an adequate power supply for the next several years to attract new business and encourage the expansion of existing operations by offering this power to businesses at attractive rates.  What’s more, the Enhanced Growth Credit Program is expected to spread electric power system costs among customers and thereby help maintain lower electric rates for all ratepayers.

The Enhanced Growth Credit Program can play a vital role in the planning of new and expanding businesses, particularly for those operations in which electric power is a major component in the cost of the final product.  It can be vital because the program could represent a substantial economic advantage to your company in today’s fierce competitive climate.

SIC Qualifiers (New or Expanding)
Mining (SIC's 10 - 14)
Manufacturing (SIC's 20 - 39)
Bulk Transportation (SIC's 40, 42, 44. & 45)

All Electric Qualifiers (New & Expanding)
Commercial & Industrial customers that are all-electric on HVAC with more than 50% of heated or cooled floor space. HVAC, interior lighting, and cooking must represent 50% or more of the customer's rated electric load.

Other Qualifying Customers (Expansions Only)
Commercial & Industrial customers that expand by at least 250 kw of electric heating and cooling, electric water heating, and/or electric cooking.

Minimum Added Loan Requirement:
SIC Qualifiers 100 kw
Electric Qualifiers 250 kw
Other Qualifying Customers 250 kw
